How I Spent Two Summer Vacations
In 2001
and 2005, I had the special privilege of covering major golf tournaments for a local community newspaper -- The Pilot
of Southern Pines.
The Pilot, a three-times-a-week local paper, published a daily special edition for the U.S. Women's Open Championship
in 2001 and the U.S. Men's Open Championships in 1999 and 2005.
In the '01 and '05 championships,
I joined teams of top photographers and writers to create and produce award-winning publications.
The experience was hard, exhausting, challenging,
and some of the most fun I have ever had.
